General safety norms for usage of webbing slings and polyester lifting hooks EN 1492-1 / EN 1492-2

When choosing a sling/hook, please consider the following:

– Load weight
– Webbing/hook modal-angle opening factor
– Junction
– Hook size
– Surface
– Chemicals

Refer to ISO 12480-1 for planning and managing operations of lifting and rotation of safe work systems.

 

WARNING

– Check webbings and hooks wear before using
– Replace if cuts, raveling or abrasions are found
– The belt should bear the load for its entire length, if necessary reduce tilt using the lifting devices provided
– Do not pull out webbings from under a load if it’s still placed on the webbing/sling. Place suitable thickness blocks if necessary
– Do not drag over rough surfaces
– Do not drive carts nor vehicles over the webbing/sling
– Keep webbings and slings away from welding and cutting areas where risk of sparkles may exist

USE OF PROTECTIONS WITH SHARP EDGES AND ROUGH SURFACES
Use of protections is recommended in the following cases:
sheet metal – sharp edges >> polyurethane >> high protection
rough surfaces >> sheathing PVC – sheathing PES >> average protection

Please store webbings in a warm and dry place. Protect from direct sunlight. Do not dry near open fire or heaters.

I carichi di lavoro massimi elencati nella tabella qui sotto sono i carichi massimi ai quali le imbragature possono essere sottoposte durante il sollevamento in base alla classificazione con carico uniforme standard. In condizioni estremamente pericolose o in qualsiasi circostanza in cui si valuti l’opportunità di avere un carico di lavoro massimo più basso del valore di progetto, il grado di pericolosità deve essere valutato da persona competente e il carico di lavoro deve essere regolato di conseguenza. Il carico di lavoro massimo, che deve essere marcato sull’imbracatura stessa, o sulla targhetta metallica fissata saldamente, non deve mai essere superato.
